I saw these vintage and antique suitcases at a local flea market and I fell in love. My mind was racing with the possibilities for upcycling these pieces, and I thought I'd share some of my favorite DIY project ideas with you.

Vintage and antique suitcases were made in the day when suitcases needed to be sturdy because they had to last a lifetime and were prone to some very poor handling (no customer service reviews in those days). Unfortunately, that's why they are rarely used for travelling today – they are heavy. In a time when you have to pay if your bag weighs over a certain weight, these suitcases would definitely cost you. However, creative crafters see their potential and have come up with some wonderful uses for these old suitcases. You can make old suitcases new by making them into tables, dressers and so much more. I hope this inspires you to find an old suitcase and make it into something new!
